What is HWDC?
Heather Wayne’s Performing Arts is the home of the Heather Wayne Dance Company (H.W.D.C.) a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. This award-winning competitive dance team trains under the industries most renowned choreographers and dancers. Heather Wayne Dance Company enjoys performing for their community in addition to Regional and National competitions.
Heather Wayne Dance Company is excited to announce our upcoming auditions for the 2026-2027 season!
The company is a non-profit organization with parents as well as outside community members serving as the Board of Directors. Heather Wayne Dance Company exists to promote the performing arts in the community through entertainment and competition. The Company seeks to provide quality artistic performances for the community, to participate in regional and national competitions, and to provide an outlet for the artistic abilities of its members.

Who: We welcome All Students Ages 7yrs and Up, Intermediate to Advanced Levels
HWDC is Looking for Students who aspire to Train and Learn Dance at an accelerated level and be a member of a Competitive TEAM.
HWDC is an Intermediate, Advanced and Pre-Professional Level Dance TEAM.
Dance training and experience is required.
- Provide accelerated dance opportunities in addition to dance academy classes.
- Promote performing arts in the community.
- Provide a healthy team experience for the dancers and parents.
- Prepare dancers for college or other community, and/or professional opportunities.

Heather Wayne Dance Company requires talent, commitment, dedication, passion, hard work, an eagerness to learn, and a desire to perform and grow as a dancer.

The audition and selection process requires much planning and thought, and your dancer should be very confident about their desire to be a part of HWDC. Please talk to your dancer about commitment and how important it is to follow through. We are looking for dancers who are talented, focused, driven, and excited to be a part of a well-respected and award-winning company.

- Completed electronic audition form
- Form can be located on HWPA website under HWDC Auditions
- Copy of birth certificate, first time applicants only
- $50 non-refundable audition fee ($30 for all returning members) - payment needs to be Cash, Check only - payable to HWDC
- Attire: Dress the part!! A neat appearance is very important!
- Hair pulled up, away from face.
- Girls-solid black leotard or Tank top, Black leggings
- Boy-solid black shorts and solid black fitted tank
Be prepared to dance ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop, contemporary, and pointe
Bring all dance and tennis shoes
Be on time/be prepared
