THRILLED / HONORED DIRECTOR for Heather Wayne’s Performing Arts!

Jody Key is thrilled and thrilled and honored to be the new theater director for Heather Wayne’s Performing Arts!  She’s a theater nerd to the core with many years of experience, beginning with acting at 8 years old. She’s done ensemble work as an elementary and high school student in college productions, and technical theater and directing as an adult. She’s lived in Hall County since 2006 where she moved from Albuquerque, NM, and has been involved in theater in the Atlanta area for the last 12 years.

She holds a Master of Arts in Teaching K-8 and is a special education math teacher at West Hall Middle School in Oakwood, GA, and has Directed of the Spartan Performing Arts Academy after school program. Other theater credits include: director for the Boys and Girls Club of Gainesville; stage and house manager, cabaret director, light designer, and costumer for Play on Player’s children’s theatre; light designer for Lambert High School; prop and house manager for DaVinci Academy; house manager, sound designer, and costumer for Johnson High School.

She’s also the managing editor of the blog Speakeysie: entertainment review and promotion, and is well connected with the Altanta theater and Broadway community. Jody has a love for her students and is dedicated to helping them develop as actors, singers, dancers, and amazing human beings!
