Dance Company, Broadway, Contemporary, Jazz, Choreography, Private Lessons
Originally from Atlanta, Ashley trained and competed in all forms of dance. After high school, she graduated Cum Laude from Troy University with a BFA in Dance. Later, she completed her Master’s in Dance Ed from Shorter University.
One of Ashley’s most memorable professional career moments was when she got to choreograph and perform at the DAP Festival in Pietrasanta, Italy.
After graduating, Ashley was invited to Jacob’s Pillow alongside 23 other men and women from around the world. There, she performed Chet Walker’s choreography in the style of Jack Cole Fosse Legacy.
Ashley then moved to New York where she performed professionally for 3 years.
Coming back south to her roots, Ashley was the 1st GCPS middle school dance program director, starting the program at north Gwinnett middle and solely directing for 5 years.
She then was invited to start and direct the Buford middle school program where she’ll proudly begin her 3rd year this fall.
Ashley now serves as the Assistant Director of the Heather Wayne Dance Company and is looking forward to her 8th season at HWPA!
