The Music Man

The Music Man is a classic American musical with music and lyrics by Meredith Willson and a book by Willson and Franklin Lacey. It tells the story of Harold Hill, a traveling con artist who poses as a boys’ band organizer and leader in the small town of River City, Iowa. He sells band instruments and uniforms to the townsfolk, promising to train the members of the new band. However, Harold is no musician, and he plans to skip town without giving any music lessons.
